It is only Monday, and I already cannot wait for my lazy Caturday afternoon...
Though one of the best things about cat naps is that they can happen anywhere, and that means a-n-y-w-h-e-r-e, I couldn't help but "aww..." when I saw these adorable cat beds on Etsy.
I just discovered a new application for my phone, and I am in love! A new discovery, rediscovering my love for doodling. The "DrawSomething" app is absolutely addicting. Essentially, you get to play Pictionary through your phone with your friends (or random folk) and enjoy all the beautiful -- or not so beautiful -- sketches that are created. My favorite part of it is that you get to see the process of the drawing, and not just the final product -- making for some hilarious smart phone moments.
If you haven't already done so... Download it! For AppleFor Android Since this game has been slowly taking over my phone data usage, I figured I would write a post inspired by the game. And also, enjoy these cool Etsy finds that might be a bit of inspiration for all your future DrawSomething doodles :)
...why sea otters are so otterly cute :)
Ten reasons why everyone should love sea otters, in no particular order:- They have the densest fur in the animal kingdom -- about one million hairs per square inch!
- Their thick coat is used as protection from the cold ocean waters. Since they do not have blubber, they have to make sure their fur is extra clean. They spend a large part of their day grooming themselves, which looks super adorable. They even blow air bubbles into their fur for extra insulation.
- Sea otters hold hands while sleeping! It is a behavior called "rafting" so they do not float away.
- Much of their time is spent lying serenely on their backs among kelp forests -- which also help anchor the sea otters from drifting.
- They dive to find food to eat, their favorites including sea urchins, clams, abalone, mussels, squid, octopus, fish and crabs.
- Sea otters often times use tools to break open their shellfish meal -- banging their dinner stubbornly against rocks or even the side of boats until the tasty meal is revealed (I am sure the sailors love that...).
- Other than primates, sea otters are the only mammals thus known to use tools!
- Sea otter pups are born in the water and cannot swim for the first few weeks of their life. They will spend their time on their mother's belly, as she floats on her back. They begin venturing off at around 8 months of age. Too cute!
- Sea otter have extra skin folds, almost as if their skin were one size too large. The excess skin creates pocket-like pouches near the sea otter's armpits, which they use almost like shopping bags. They keep perhaps a favorite rock as a tool stored away, and often times keep bits of food for a later snack. How awesome is that?!
- Sea otters are just too darn lovable :)

Photo Bomb, verb
\ˈfō-(ˌ)tō\ /bɒm/
The fine art of ruining other people's photographs, usually by running or making a silly face in the background, or as you can see by the following examples, a number of other equally hilarious actions -- done not only by humans, but adorable animals as well.
And my favorite...a squirrel photo bombing a couple portrait in Banff National Park
